Ocean Song

I’ve only seen the ocean once,

and while my memory has faded,

I can still hear the crashing waves,

the roar of power unevaded.

There’s beauty in the wild tide,

hope in that expanse of mirrored sky.

Everything has a song of its own,

and I still recall the ocean’s lullaby.

One day, I may return to see if I

can find where sky and ocean meet.

Then I’ll claim my place along the shore

where wind, water, and my heart shall beat.
